See, thats the problem. I am the American Left. I do not pretend to speak for everyone on the Left side of the political spectrum(nor would i want to), but i am by definition a Leftist, not the middle. Specifically a Liberal.

The fact that I do not fit your definition of the political left means you need to rethink what you say. The generalizing and demonetization of those people whom we do not agree with is hurting this country because it it pitting everyone against each other.

Further more, I will try to respond to your links specifically .

This is what i mean by hyperbole.

What Senator Ayotte is talking about in the video is false in the way she is phrasing it. Workers, legal or not pay taxes and do so with an "ITIN", and it is legal.

She is phrasing her comment(to which the article is crafted around) as if what these workers are doing is illegal and its not. Now, them claiming kids that do not exist or they do not take care of is indeed illegal, but thats a different argument all together as many legal and natural born citizens of this country do that every tax season.

My point is, Its perfectly legal for them to use their ITIN, and the Democrats did not simply shut Ayotte out. In case you (and it seems PowerLine) forgot, 169 Republicans in the House of Representatives voted for this bill while only 62 voted against, along with 163 Democrats for 32 against .

Like it or not, this was a bipartisan bill. Yet the political attack of your link is as if only Democrats voted for it.
Your next 4 links all seem to be about the same thing, so im going to skip down to this one.

Stop The Drilling! A Lizard Is Imperiled - Forbes
This one is fairly simple. While This lizard's status as simply a sub species or a separate one all together, The other animals listed in the subsequent articles are not. No one is questioning if they are endangered or not, but rather if labeling them as such will affect the drilling of/for oil.

Its a legitimate argument from that point, but not from one that they are simply doing it as a war on fossil fuels.

Still no bites on repealing the evil 17th amendment? Conservatives are painfully transparent.

If you ask every american to cast their vote and count them, Dems win. If you gerrymander the country and use a winner take all on state basis for selecting electors then the Repubs have a shot. The interests of people in flyover states outweigh the majority of americans because... tyranny or something.

Get real. 40 more states to go.

Of course it probably won't matter in 2016 since Democrats have really **** in the pool with Obamacare.

In fact, it may not matter after 2020 since so many people are leaving blue states.

How about we stop this insane partisan rhetoric with a populous election system? The liberals shudder at the prospect, because no matter how progressives spin their lies, the populous vote will screw them.

California will turn purple overnight!

I've tried to inject common sense into this reality, and liberals just ignore the facts and say "BYE" when I say revenue is going to drop in blue states. It's like they don't have a clue about economic truths. The more people run from blue states to red states, the more the problems of socialism will snowball.

The socialist states will continue to bleed revenue, yet they continue to push their agenda with eyes closed.

Absolutely the wrong solution to the Electoral College issue.

The way electoral votes are distributed should be changed - I agree. It should be changed by proportioning them out by congressional district, with the state's total popular vote winner getting 2 of the EVs (for the two senators).

Why does that make more sense than a straight popular vote?

This move will give highly populated states, usually Democratic, the say in presidential elections. It has happened in a number of states and we the people of Colorado never had a say in it. Stacking the deck for the Dems. Your state's are doing this to you.

Nikita Kruchev must be laughing his a$$ off!

Hey............. great.............

Just another brick in the wall for the "Balkanization" of the US.

When smaller, or less populated states realize that they have no say in electing the POTUS, there is little need to be a part of the US anymore.

Liberals fail to understand that being ruled by distant entities is what led to the first American Revolution. No one prefers to live under the thumb of others and have economic and political issues dictated to them by groups of people who do not have their best interest in mind.

There are very good reasons why-

1. the electoral college was created (to prevent the "tyranny" of populated states)

2. Senators were supposed to be APPOINTED by state legislatures, not elected

3. there was not to be a "central banking system"

4. the 2nd Amendment is #2, rather than #10, in the Bill of Rights

5. Washington was opposed to political parties

Plans to gain political advantage and dictate political and economic policy from one group of people, at the expense of others, will lead to the dissolution of the US. Are libs that dumb?
