What is mathematical about $15? It sounds subjective.
We currently have millions working for less than $15, and they show up to work everyday. I assume they feel they are getting paid what they are worth or they would leave.
Sure, that is subjective as well, but more in the sense of setting a standard bottom wage. It does not dictate the wages above minimum. I am sure those making less than $15 wouldn't turn down the increase in pay just because they are working for less now.
When I was making minimum wages I felt I was stifled by it.
So what you are saying is minimum wage has no effect on your employees. So how does that stifle pay if it has no effect on those making more than minimum wage?

It has no effect on my employees......they make much more.
I said I felt stifled at one time when I was working.......I feel if there was no minimum I could have made more.
But, once that figure is out there.....employers will pay that.....for low paying jobs.
Others were not......but, we all got paid the same.
That is subjective and up to your employer to decide. Your employer obviously thought your worth was only minimum wage regardless of how good of a worker you thought you were.

I think they just get locked into a mindset....the figure in their head is the minimum wage.
