May I ask how one determines if a fruit fly is gay?

It hardly seems worth the trouble.

I like how homosexuality is considered by so many (perhaps including some respondents to this thread) to be a scourge that's destroying the fabric of our families.... but in a thread like this it's just fuel for puns.

But whatever. I like puns as much as the next guy. You know. That whole inclusive thing.

.
Who considers it so? What does homosexuality have to do with our families?

Well to be honest I have been around this forum long enough now to know that the one issue that is not open to tolerance is the homosexual issue, So we could discuss how this could be an exciting breakthrough for the CURE for homosexuality, or we can keep it light and PC!

I actually cured a mouse of malaria, but it didn't work on a rabbit, and it still affects about 1m African children each year.

Now of course fruit flies just might have a different life-cycle and/or sex cycle and their homosexuality may disappear on sexual contact with another fruit fly or ladybug.

If they need to expand their sample and get more relevant results (and I don't want to even know how they determine a fruit fly is gay), they should have tested it on Senator Craig, or he could claim to be duped and already be a victim of this experiment.

Nope, not a scourge. A scourge is more like an affliction. Homosexuality is a choice.

Let's keep it light weight or as light as a fruit fly. And, Silas777, if you know anything about ladybugs, would you please share it with me. I am being over-run by those sweet orange spotted bugs here in the house.
