If I had all the money in the world,

What I would want most would be something I can't buy....
What I would want is a world whereby people work together collectively to enhance the means of production of all things, through diversity of minds, across a multitude of educational competences and shared labor so that one can be 16% doctor, 35% car mechanic, 8% bus driver, 13% physicist, etc

Such that we do all sorts of jobs not just one for money so that we all care about all needs of all people and not just selfishly fixated on the one you do under capitalism....
No money in the world can buy this

But if I move to a Leftwing Liberal European country, I find the people value something other than money and so it can work ...it's that people don't put all their faith and credit into the almighty dollar, otherwise you undermine the inspiration of centuries of Russian cultural history and African rhythms and things of value to so many people but not in strictly financial terms.

If I had no money and were broke:
The conclusion what I want from others costs money is hence a FALSE statement. What both bridges the broke and wealthy guy which money can't buy is the yearning for a greater Utopia...

From the song "express yourself"...a line of wealth fed from poor to rich
"Some folks have everything while other folks don't, but does everything mean anything when it ain't the thing you want ...express yourself !"

In Left-wing Liberal Europe a majority of people have to work to pay for food, shelter and so forth. Same as here.

Do Lefties realize that utopia means an imaginary place in which the government, laws, and social conditions are perfect? In other words IMPOSSIBLE?

nice attempt at utopia, but it will never happen. in the end there will always be those that are unable to work, and thus need a lot of support, and there will always be those supporting those that cant work and will grumble about it creating a hostile work environment that will always filter out to everyone, which in the end causes problems. nice thought though.

Since we are quoting songs... Big Daddy Kane - I'll Take You There

There is a place people live with joy
That the next man cannot come along and destroy
No one faces problems, no one says sorry
And war ain't nothing but a game on atari
This message also applies to other nations
Like africa for instance, where there's starvation
But if you come with me, you're sure to see
Ethiopians can eat in red lobster for free
And people that you saw before that were poor
Will never ever see the situation no more
Cause in this world everyone's a millionaire
<is there wic? >
Are you sick?
And what the hell is welfare?
Fashions are smashing for all to flaunt
And we can get anything that we want
So don't think you can't afford expensive design
Because fresh gucci wear is only $5.99
So come ye all and attend this affair
As we journey to the promised land, and...
<hmm...yeah...i'll take you there...oh!> (x3)

Honestly - as long as we are in this world, there will be envy, jealousy, bad behavior, greed, the need to "one up" others, etc.

There is no utopia. Africa ain't getting cleaned up because of it's leaders - they don't want things better, they want control. There will be war. There will be unfairness. It ain't going away.

Socialism will only NOT bring utopia, it will make things worse because one's will to work and support himself/herself will be suppressed because what he earns will be taken away.

For people to have lobster for free, as Kane says, someone will have to work for nothing. Who is going to do that over long periods of time?

You mean the libertarian utopia?

In all honesty I think our government is going to become rapidly more socialist then more libertarian. Technology will drive it all-and I honestly suspect that at a certain level of technology that libertarian ideas might be workable. In say 100 years.
