It is the job of the authorities to keep us safe, and the Fukushima nuclear disaster was the worst nuclear disaster in human history

So why aren’t they doing testing?

Why aren’t they checking to make sure that this radiation is not getting into our food chain?

One test that was conducted in California discovered that 15 out of 15 Bluefin tuna were contaminated with radiation from Fukushima.

Because they can't fix it.
There's nothing they can do.

That's why nuclear is so dangerous.

And it's not over..it's still leaking over there and Japan has hundreds of thousands of tons of contaminated water that they don't know what to do with.

Well then let's bring you up to date....

New radioactive water leak at Japan's Fukushima Daiichi plant - CNN.com
Fukushima operator may have to dump contaminated water into Pacific | Environment | theguardian.com

The government says the levels of radiation are low so it's ok to eat the fish.
You trust your government don't you ?

I stopped eating fish once I realized how bad this was. The government should, at the very least keep people informed about what is going on in Fukushima and how it effects the food supply in the US. It's a big deal. Instead we are getting nothing but silence. Only a few are speaking out about it. If a person wants information, they have to seek it out because for the most part, the mainstream media and the government have not been talking about it.

Ignorance is bliss.
I stocked up on cans of tuna (oh boy did I stock up) after the BP spill in the Gulf.

The only fresh fish I eat now comes from my tank and that water gets tested annually.

Currently there is a mass die off of starfish on the coasts and no one knows why.

I read about that. The starfish were melting. That can't be good.

From what I read they say "virus".

Fish in the Gulf have respiratory and heart defects.
The scientists say this is not from the BP spill or chemicals used to contain it.
These fish are the offspring of the offspring of the fish directly contaminated.

I have been reading too that the military has increased it's testing of weapons in the Pacific as of late and that is has had a very negative effect on sea life.

I think some people simply "over-react" to world events.

If our food was truly unsafe from the Fukushima disaster, I'm sure we would know about it, since it would be making headline news on a daily basis.

Independent news agencies like CNN would likely perform their own private testing, and report on it daily, if they thought our government was attempting to cover up a serious health threat.

I eat fresh and canned fish several days a week ... and never have had any issues. And I live in California!
