Do you think the United States will stop policing the globe after the boomers are gone. That entire mentality of playing cop around the world seems to be a lot less prevalent in the younger generations. Even most younger conservatives think it's pointless. Do you see the United states becoming far less involved in world affairs over the next 20-30 years and finally dropping some big coin on our own problems, or will the special interests still be able to keep business as usual without any public support.

Pelosi, Reid, Feinstein, Clapper, etc...are NOT boomers.
The NSA hires hackers without degrees and collects terabytes of data each day.
They use that info for political, economic and personal gain.
It's way more than "policing the world" and it won't be given up anytime soon.
I do not think so, if the United States wishes to be a world Power. Other Countries despite their feeling towards the US has depended on the Good Will of America and its People thru out the world.
If the Us is too diverse with trade and vital materials flowing from the US to other economies depending on the US for buying power.

That was a fairly obvious hint, IMHO.
As for the question: There will be no change if we continue to spend like drunken sailors. We will be forced to protect militarily the petro-dollar in order to maintain our economy.
Our dollar is the defacto world currency for one reason only. Look what we did to Hussein and Gaddafi when they tried to move to the Euro. The minute Russia and/or China try to remove the petro-dollar as the world currency, thereby bankrupting the US, there will be hell... literally.
I am a little skeptical with the way our future generations are coming along. They scream for open borders, and do not seem to possess much of a national identity. What's worse, they seem to ignore that there are entities intent on wiping all western civilization off the face of the planet. Hell, they can't even bring themselves to say the word "terrorist" or "islamism" They'll be spending more time and effort PC policing than rebuilding this country... and this country needs rebuilding.
People can say that one group is worse than the other for playing world cop. We haven't been able to mind our own business in a century. No matter who is the Prez our troops get used like mercenaries.

We already are doing that. Snowden's leaks showed that we targeted energy/oil/gas companies all over the world to spy on..corporate and personal emails and phone calls.

Agreed. Add to this, the elitist think that they know what is best for all the world. Some how they feel entitled to send our soldiers policing every brush fire that pops up.
As a Vet I can tell you that I would not have served under the last 3 Admins. I wouldn't want my son to serve now.
There is a good reason I will retire in another country. I don't see improvement coming.

Are you kidding? The boomers were against the Vietnamese war and actually marched and protested to bring an end to it. The boomers are not the neocons who started wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Yes--we will become less involved, unless we have neocons arising and running the country again.
