When asked what his mistakes were during his first 4 years in office, all he could think of was that he needs to do a better job telling stories, to keep the public on his policy side.

I can appreciate the fact that the US wanted their soldier/citizen back but the deal has sent out a message that the best way to free terrorists is to take Americans hostage and then negotiate.

Whether this will lead to more Americans being taken hostage in the future remains to be seen.

As for the father Jami Bergdahl he looked a bit Taliban himself, what is it with this big long straggle beards, haven't some people heard of gillette, bic or wilkinson sword.

Apparently he started growing the beard in support of his son when he saw some pictures of him with a beard. He also learned the Pashto language.

The last thing I would do is grow a massive hairy beard like the Taliban, get a shave you scruffy bugger.

GWB released over 200 of them on his own, and some were found on the battlefield again, but the thing is that the Taliban are not a terrorist organization, they are "enemy combatants". Israelis have traded 1000 Palestinians (Hamas, which is a terrorist organization) for one Israeli, so there is nothing new in prisoner swaps.

I don't think there is anything to apologize for. There was a lot more to the Iran-Contra scandal that a prisoner swap. I do not think GWB needs to apologize for freeing prisoners either.

You left out the part about him grown the beard and learning Pashto because he thought he could better negotiate for his son's life than the U.S. government could if he could look and talk like them.

Do you say the same about the Duck Dynasty guys? They have even longer, scruffy beards and one of them was invited to a GOP main event to speak in recent weeks.
