Meanwhile, our Idiot in Chief in the white house continues to hype his lies in an attempt to alarm the American people so he can expand government power even more; “We don’t have to choose between the health of our economy and the health of our children,” he said in his weekly address, which was recorded yesterday at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington. “As president, and as a parent, I refuse to condemn our children to a planet that’s beyond fixing.”

But his lies have nothing to do with the truth;

The U.S. has been extraordinarily fortunate lately: we have not been witness to the fury of a major hurricane (category 3 or higher) landfall since October 2005 when Wilma hit southwest Florida as a Category 3 storm. (Other countries have not had such good fortune these past few years. )

Atlantic hurricane season begins Sunday: Will record streak without major hurricane landfall end?

Statistics, gotta love 'em....

It gets hot, it gets cold, there are more hurricanes, there are less...

Enough with all these idiotic correlations already.

of course it has, by the ice shelf melting its putting more water in the ocean. and the extra water take longer to heat up, which the heated water is fuel for the hurricanes. the extra water is actually cooling off the oceans

Yes, and the reduction in hurricanes has robbed us of rain to fill our lakes. Global warming sucks.

What extra water?

Florida is not underwater yet.
Fact is, Other than powerful hurricanes, Floridas coastline has not changed since the Spaniards hit the shores and started mapping it. 800 years ago.

1. Your article only talks about the US, and explains that other countries have not been as lucky. You QUOTED that part.
2. No one is saying there will be more storms-- you are making that up.
3. Climatologists are saying there will be fewer storms.
4. These storms will be stronger than usual.

Of course, if hurricanes had increased, the same idiots would be screaming that Global Warming had cause MORE hurricanes, not less.

Ha ha. There were 51 hurricanes worldwide in the Year of Katrina (2005) an unusually high number. Remember when the climatologists were all saying that we were going to have ever increasing numbers of hurricanes, with more of them being severe going forward? I do.

In calender year 2012 there were 37 hurricanes worldwide. 2013 saw 39 hurricanes worldwide.

In 2013 there were only two hurricanes in the Atlantic region as opposed to 10 the previous year.

Here are some numbers I compiled using THIS as my source:

Region Atlantic East Pacific West Pacific South Pacific South Indian North Indian Total Worldwide

2013 2 8 13 3 8 5 39
2012 10 10 5 3 9 0 37
2006 5 11 15 7 7 1 46
2005 14 7 17 6 6 1 51
2000 8 6 14 4 11 2 45

For those who dont know, all hurricane type weather begins in the equatorial zone. It is a matter of random chance where the storms that become tropical and hurricane level end up being.

Sorry about the formatting problem.
