The only town which has gone insane? Good. It would be better is they came back to reality though.
Apparently you've never heard of Kennesaw Ga.? They have this policy as well. Perhaps coincidentaly, and perhaps not, their crime rate has dropped dramatically in the twenty years since they passed the ordinance.....
Both ordinances are symbolic I do believe.

Sounds interesting, if it ends up having positive results I look forward to the data.
But really I don't care if it's negative, it's too late to change gun ownership, and our second amendment right is there for a reason.
So I look forward to seeing data in 5-6 years from the town.
You may be interested in the data from Kennesaw Georgia, which implemented the policy 20 years ago. Supposedly, the crime rate plumeted in the years since.

That's right, I'd completely forgot about them! Pretty significantly lower crime rate in fact, 85%
And it's a decent sized city (unlike nucla with a population of 700)
Based on kennesaw I'd argue its a reasonable thing to do.
Hopefully we will see more of this for more data then, as it seems to work out ok
Reading about this town in the article, it sounds like an amazing town and example of what America and the simple life used to be.
Would love to visit.
