I think majority of people are just tired of the BS in Washington DC
The bulk of the BS in Washington right now is inaction due to either Tea Bagger idiots being elected to congress or regular Republicans who are afraid to do anything because they have to fight of similar tea bagger idiots. Largely, they're just old angry people who's emotions tell them that they're conservative though they couldn't come up with a concrete idea if they pulled it out of their own backside.

tea party are not a political organize group. they are just everyday citzens that share the same ideas, as far as unions, tea party are just people. some are union workers, some are not, some work at walmart some are teacher, police, firemen. they are not a group but just people. there no leadership, no party, no canididate, just people that say, we like this, we want this.

but they are being attach because "for the people" had made a voice, and other are saying sit down shut up. remember when Obama did the driving ms daisey deal. " yes they can come for a ride but they have to sit in the back seat, im driving this car"

or the gay "tea bagger" comment. from day one to today they been attacking tea bag because they just wanted a voice

Look at the country. We all should be angry.

I do get a kick out those who argue as you do though. It's taught in Dem 101 or something. Why should people want cuts to something they have paid into for 30-40 years?

Why is it people shouldn't want the government to live up to it's promises to them?

I don't think the Tea Party "has some momentum going now ..." As for working closer with labor: I think many people affiliated with the Tea Party are or were union members, but I think they've lost sight of the good things organized labor has done for our society/culture/country and they've turned sour and now advocate things which may hurt the average working person than help. Accurate or not, I think the Tea Party is viewed as a group which holds extremist, out-of-the-mainstream views pretty much opposite of what organized labor and many/most working people believe/advocate. I don't see a movement of too many members of organized labor who aren't now affiliated with a Tea Party group moving in that direction anytime soon. Not in any fashion as they did towards Richard Nixon at one point in time.

It is amazing because if anyone threatens a cut to food stamps, etc. they tend to squeal like stuck pigs. They are very selective in their outrage.

I do not see this movement as being populist enough.
The movement this nation needs:
A populist movement that portends a less secular agenda and actually doesnot have an affiliation with the Demublican or Republicrat parties.

One that respects our military power and does not use it to forge awreckless agenda of occupation and imperialism.
One that respects the idea that a working American should not need to workfull time and collect paychecks and need Government assistance on thetaxpayer's dime simultaneously.

One that does not pander to the elitist corporatist agenda such as the onespursued by the Kochs, Soros, or Wall st that suffocates small and mediumbusiness so the megalopolies can siphon the wealth.

One that respects the individual to make choices for their own lifestyle anddoes not put a nanny state in place to make sure we all eat our veggies andbrush our teeth before bed.

One that respects the idea that all of us are entitled to healthcare butunderstand there are costs ALL of us must cover in a fair and reasonable mannerbe it through the private sector or a single payer system.

And finally a movement that respects the power they will have if elected tooffice. They should be empowering America not corrupting it.
I will not hold my breath.

Cry us a River. This is just typical whining from those that wave pom poms for one party or the other.
