They have some momentum going now, if they can get the working people on their side they could become a force in the country.

We ARE the working people. As far as the unions, I'm all for private unions, the public unions are the ones causing problems.

I would go along with this. Civil servants are protected by many rules and laws anyways right? Why do they need a union?

There's no such thing as the Tea Party as a homogeneous entity. They're really the Tea Parties. Largely they're older, angry, emotional voters in the grass roots part of the Republican Party. Plenty of tea baggers, in my experience, are nothing but hypocrites. They whine about big government and yet few of them want any cuts to social security of medicare as many of them either rely or will soon rely on those programs.

Call this group whatever you like but there is a movement of fed up people in this country! I think majority of people are just tired of the BS in Washington DC. When you run on a platform and then do a complete about face on everything you said you stand for...it doesn't matter if you are democrat or republican how can you as a voter be happy with that??!?

This movement is the hard working people in America and I'm glad to be a part of it.

As far as unions go, they have become the very thing that they fought in the first place. I've worked for union companies and what I saw was just awful. If you are against big corporations, big government you should be against unions.

It is good to see the grassroots organizing.

The Tea Party is mad as hell, but they aren't exactly sure what they are mad about. This becomes obvious when one of their candidates speak. That is why their credibility is so low.

Nothing hypocritical about wanting some payback from a program you've been contributing to for 45+ years
