This would be seem to be a logical extension for the NRA. As an example Jerad Miller a loyal Tea Party, Soverign Citizien was denied the right to own firearms. This lead to much resentment by Miller and his wife and the deaths of 2 police officers and a private citizen. Are liberals off base in keeping Miller and people like him from having access to firearms protected by the 2nd Amendment? Can we blame liberals for the deaths in Las Vegas?

Yes they should have no only their firearm rights back, but all rights back, voting, not having to list their past crimes on a job application, they whole nine yard....If they are so dangerous, dont let them out to begin with but dont make them 2nd class citizens.

Why are you punishing after they have served their debt to society?

They have paid their debt, they are square with the house...

I dont know. Maybe theywere like my ex-son in law. He fired a 45 round past my daughters ear for effect and then assaulted his son. He paid his debt and now he should get his Glock back and be able to get a ccw? Sorry he lost that right.

does anyone EVER read the laws of their state? in each state there is a procedure by which a convicted felon can petition the state to return said felons rights. all they need do is file the proper paperwork, and jump through the legal hoops required by the laws of each state. and depending on the felony, they can get back some or all of their rights.

Yes, but dont you think this country would be safer if convicted persons even if it was domestic violence would have access to firearms? In many cases the assault conviction is only a misdemeanor. So who do you exclude from owning firearms? The conservative argument is the more people who own firearms the better.

if someone is convicted of a violent crime, like domestic violence, it is usually because they have an anger problem. do you really want someone with an anger problem to have a gun on them? gee sorry mister, i didnt mean to hit your car, no wait please dont shoot me mister, ahhhhh.

get the idea? it happens far more than you think it does.

Why let him out if you are going to continue to punish him for his crime?

Once again that is not for you to say, if this man is still a threat why let him out?

No one really knows yet entirely why it took place.

What it seems like so far is he was a petty criminal and an idiot that blamed the government for everything wrong in his life. He felt laws didn't apply to him so he blamed the world instead of realizing his own issues. Including being in financial straights because they couldn't seem to be responsible, like quitting out of the blue to go to Bundy's ranch, or even deal well with others (even Bundy's group thought they were way too nutty). They openly exposed wanting to kill as many people as possible just for the hell of it. Often obsessed with spouting conspiracies (including Alex Jones), the government, and murdering people to anyone in earshot.

He's a great example of the need for better mental health and keeping guns (and in my opinion even cars, and sharp rocks) from dangerous psychotics.

They seemed to think of themselves as a 2 person army like the movies...out of bounds of any sense or reality.

At least in my home state, this takes a pardon of the governor. Care to guess how many of those are issued

Non violent felons should not have gun rights restricted.
