Interesting comments from Wilt Chamberlain @ 11:50

Wilt Chamberlain interview, 1987 - YouTube

Firestone: "Racial bitterness...you have very little, if any." Wilt: "I have none, because I understand, I think what all that malarkey is all about....I've been lucky enough to see people come into love, and that's what it's all about." Firestone: "you are in the minority at a certain level..you are ultraconservative" Chamberlain: "uh huh..I believe strongly to today that.being conservative is the way to go...I believe in love."

So someone who is labeled an ultra conservative thinks conservative is the way to go....is there a point to this or was the OP just surprised that in 1987, Wilt Chamberlain said he was a conservative?

I'm pretty sure Wilt Chamberlain wasn't a social conservative.

Maybe surprised that the "Uncle Tomming" of him has not been heard yet.

The left will bring it when they see a black professing conservative thought........like clockwork.

What are you talking about? It was just a video of a dead basketball player saying he was conservative. You are aware there are non whites that are conservative, right? Granted the Republicans seem to want to alienate anyone who isn't white every chance they get.

The lefties want to demonize anyone that does not agree with them.

Doesn't matter if it's in the past, if it's brought up it will be given the "treatment".

I prefer to think for myself. Labeling yourself liberal or conservatives usually means that you follow a prescribed set of beliefs. I'm liberal on many issues, but conservative on others, and undecided or moderate on yet others. I like it that way.
