California was already struggling with Medical(Medicaid). They will now be on the hook for even more when the Federal government pulls back. And California is most decidedly a blue state.

California is fine with a nice sized budget surplus and an emergency fund set up. For the next five years (counting this one) the Feds are picking up the cost of the expansion and if it becomes too expensive it can always be repealed but as of right now MediCAL is well in surplus after half a decade of cuts.

Budget surplus? We have unfunded liabilities up the wahzoo. Real people who make real budgets know the end of that story.

Where did he get the idea that a civil war is the American dream? Maybe that's the Indian dream he is talking about.

From people like you.

Yeah, because it's "free" money.

You cherry-picked your data to skew the results.

We comprehend that you cherry-picked the data to skew the results......only a deliberately obtuse person would do that.

More likely from people like you. I am living the American dream, while people like you are so disappointed at their lives they are willing to murder people hoping it would somehow change things. How about taking personal responsibility for your life as opposed to always blaming someone else for your problems.

The reason is those poor people who can't afford their medical insurance get automatically covered and that means hospitals don't get stiffed and thus insurance premiums are lower for everyone else.
I see a lot of the use of the word free here ..... surely you know there is no such thing as free.

Maybe Gov. Jindal understands this.

What happens if the costs are more than anticipated? BO care has already cost more than anticipated. If the Feds say sorry we're out of money does Louisiana get stuck with the bill?
