But it certainly serves a great pupose for me, my partner of 18 years, and our children. Now we don't have to worry that when one of us dies, the other will be taxed to death as if we just inherited property from a stranger. Nor will we be taxed on life insurance benefits upon our deaths. And if he dies before me, I can get his pension. A blood relative couldn't come in an claim property against our wishes, upon one of our deaths. And there are many other benefits. Our family has a greater sense of secuirty. I thought you people were all about supporting families
Just some families.

Why are you denying those children a normal family with a mother and a father?

The gay army is seeking to redefine marriage.

If marriage can be redefined, then why can't consent also be redefined?

If you support gay marriage and deny Harrier the right to marry his cat, then you do not support true equality, you just support special rights for certain people.

Uh you support marriage for straight people, but not for gays... "you just support special rights for certain people."

The government has no place in marriage.

Regardless, you are wrong. Defining marriage as a union between two or more consenting adult humans is the same right for everybody, even if you are a weirdo who is into bestiality, you have the same right to the union between yourself and other consenting adult humans. It is impossible to show consent for the cat, and nobody is proposing to define marriage as between a consenting adult and any object he chooses... don't be absurd.

"Equality", right?
Guess you're gonna have to start your own movement and spend the rest of your life convincing judges and the general population that you have the right to marry your cat. I think most people would have the same issue I do - the cat is not a legal person.

Better get started! Maybe PETA could help you...

1 in 3 children grow up without a father, in straight relationships...

What is sad, is you would deny a child two loving moms or two loving fathers, when children in this country have to live without any parents.

A lot of that is because of the disastrous war on drugs.

Drugs need to be legalized and the practice of taking fathers away from their families just because they ingest or possess a substance needs to end.
