I'm not sure why an extremely powerful man such as Mr Cook or any of the others would not come out to the public. I think that it would be a big "shrug"- not such a big deal.
I didn't know Tim cook was gay, I really don't care. But I guess this is part of the gay agenda, it's not enough that he's the CEO of Apple, he has to be the gay CEO of Apple.

As I have always said, gyas will be hyphenated americans...forever. Oh yeah, very chic right now to habe a GAY friend...and,if your really lucky have a Gay AfroAmerican friend....you can be so elite among all your inclusive friends.
Much like Tom Cruise and scores of others Mr. Cook being gay is not exactly a state secret. We heard of this shortly after his Apple appointment, and it has been in various media ever since.
Mr. Cook likely belongs to a group of gay men who feel their sexual preferences are not the be and end all of defining who they are; I mean you don't see most straight men making huge deal either. They simply get up and get on with their days/lives and that is that.

i wish more gay people would take that approach
many that you see though seem to want the whole world to know
In a completely unrelated event, Apple announced plans to launch a new device called the iGay.
Let me guess... It's a combination of a vibrating smartphone and a rainbow-colored dilldo.
But seriously, I would think that Tim Cook coming out as gay could be good for the company. A lot of people like to make themselves feel good by supporting gay causes. I can picture people buying Apple products as a way to publicly display and proclaim their gay-friendliness.
