Cities are liberal. Cities have high population density. Cities vote Democratic ("liberal"). There also are cities in North America with incredibly low per-capita gun rates (under 6 per 100,000).

Boston, NYC, San Francisco, and the Canadian cities - Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, just to name a few.

yes there are, liberal ran cities. where politicians prefer to have cops with firearms than the people doing self defense. how about Detroit, Chicago, east St Louis,. I also do not include Canadian cities, as they are Canadian and not American.
different culture, different laws and different people.

Anyone who has lived in a big city knows how stupid this train of thought is. Crime in cities exists in pockets of run down areas. Most of the gun homicides are in poor gang-heavy areas.
So what would more gun laws provide?

I include Canadian cities because they are further left than the most "liberal" American cities. They are so liberal they would give a Republican a heart attack.

You completely ignored the obvious; all big cities vote "liberal." To say "liberal cities" have high gun crime makes no sense. There are "liberal" cities with high gun crime and "liberal" cities with low gun crime.

Look around the world, particularly in countries like Canada, Australia, and "liberal" NYC, and you find far lower gun homicide rates than the cities here.

What causes gang activity?

(Hint: it isn't guns or gun laws)

it isnt poverty either, otherwise gang activity would have been much higher during the great depression.

#1, so I have to sacrifice some of my rights so they can have an extra ten minutes to decide?

#2, gun control obviously has no correlation with suicide. Look to Japan, with very stringent gun laws, and one of the highest suicide rates in the world....

No, the solution is to allow for all good people living in these crime ridden areas to arm themselves if they want. Look at Detroit. Do you consider the opinion of the Detroit police chief who disagrees with you? He encourages all law abiding citizens to get trained and get their carry permit, so obviously your "anyone who has lived in a big city knows how stupid this train of thought is" comment isn't altogether accurate.
