First, let's revoke the American citizenship of any multi-national corporation--especially the ones who profit in volitile areas of the world. Then, let's reduce the number of American military bases to the same number of bases that other countries have here.
Ah -- people have "citizenship" - not corporations.
Absolutely. The UN is nothing more than a global debating society for pompous blowhard bureaucrats, where tinpot dictators are given equal footing with the leaders of free nations, and We (the People of the United States) essentially foot the bill!
Worse yet, this worldwide collection of socialists is a clear and immediate threat to our national sovereignty. What did President Washington tell us about "foreign entanglements"?!
Get us out...now!

LancasterNative, excellent words. I whole-heartedly agree. The UN is a threat to the sovereignty of the United States. It's amazing to me how our great leaders from centuries past have more common sense than what passes for leadership today.

Why don't we let the the various countries decide if they want a base there. Other than Iraq, we haven't forced anyone to maintain a US base. Heck, we even pulled out of France when they told us to. All we left was our dead.

Once we have no business, political or military reason to be involved with other countries, then we can talk about withdrawing from the UN.
What's wrong with business? How do you think people get employed, through govt. jobs?
I voted yes and I work there!! I can tell you first hand, it's an amazingly corrupt organization. Favoritism, bribery, corrupion are wide spread. Anti-American attitude abounds and this was true even with Clinton in office so it's not just Bush hating.
We're hoping the new Secretary General will curb some of it at least but I somehow doubt it.
Consider historical facts. Do correct me: Why was Koffi Anand refused entry into Sri Lanka a few years ago, where he wanted to gather information. Why are they not even heard or read about. Their main activities are nil except for some agencies within UNITED NATIONS. So, do we need UN or form ON: "Other NaTIONS".
Yes! We need to withdraw from that corrupt useless organization.
