Rep. Renee Ellmers was addressing a Friday panel put on by the Republican Study Committee, the House’s conservative caucus when she made the remarks.
The problem, she said, is that male politicians are making the policy discussion too complicated for women to understand.
“Men do tend to talk about things on a much higher level,” Ellmers said. “Many of my male colleagues, when they go to the House floor, you know, they’ve got some pie chart or graph behind them and they’re talking about trillions of dollars and how, you know, the debt is awful and, you know, we all agree with that.”
“We need our male colleagues to understand that if you can bring it down to a woman’s level and what everything that she is balancing in her life — that’s the way to go,” she said.
Basically she's saying men need to dumb it down so we can get it into our pretty little heads. And the saddest part of all is that these remarks come from a woman. Perhaps she is just not bright enough to be a representative, and is transferring her own deficiencies onto her entire gender.
One thing is for sure. The GOP needs to hold a few more of those seminars about how to talk to women, because it's clear they still have a long way to go to bring themselves into the 21st century, where women are acknowledged to have brains and to know how to use them. Unless, perhaps, they are Republican women...?
What an absolute numbskull. What is the matter with people like this? Are they really that stupid? This "gentleman" (pardon, woman) needs to be run out of town on a rail.
I wonder if his wife (oops... okay, how about her daughter?) will be waiting at home with a baseball bat? If so, he (she) deserves it.

Reason: Gender confusion.

Actually, it's even worse than that. The GOP representative who made these comments is a woman. I think she's not too bright and assumes that all women are equally as stupid as she.
I've noticed most Republican women are oft times fairly attractive and often quite dumb. It's the "FOX News Syndrome", whereas FOX has all pretty women on their network, and most of them don't sound too bright.
But that is who Republicans like to elect, and this is what I expect from the women in their party.

Unbelievable. Well, I guess what we can confirm, then, is that she isn't the brightest crayon in the box, for sure.
Probably not. Elmers won what was a marginal/swing district in 2010. Once redistricting came around, the GOP state Legislature made sure the district was no longer a swing district.

and that poster was not bright enough to know the diff but made a stupid comment anyway.
