Should we bring back the Firing Squad as the method of Execution?

It is alot cheaper and room for failure is almost none existent.

For the issue of sound and safety issues, sound suppressors would be used.

Public hangings would be very popular.

No better way to set an example to the masses, who is boss.

I agree. Everytime they talk about a peaceful death for the prisoner I just wonder how much peace their victim had. There's nothing immoral about delivering the death they deserve. Some people need hanged, drawn, and quartered.

No, the best method is to execute the murderers in the same fashion they murdered.

Can't rape and strangle a woman to death, and then claim strangulation is "cruel and unusual" anymore than one can murder using a chain-saw and then claim being hacked to death with a chain-saw is "cruel and unusual."

Executing...

No need for a firing squad, just use a bolt gun like they use on cattle.

I say that since the justice system is no better than any kangaroo court, the death penalty should be abolished completely.

I also believe that it's clearly cruel and unusual punishment and is unconstitutional in the extreme. Being on death row for decades, being scheduled to die umpteen times and then stayed, it's all cruel and unusual. It's a punishment that is not applied equally AT ALL and therefore should be banned.

I disagree with this, but only to a small extent.

The court system must prove someone is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The reason it takes so long is because they need to be certain. In a way, that's more humane than assuming one is guilty within a week and killing them right then and there.

With that said, you're not wrong about the negativities of extremely lengthy death row trials. If they go on for more than a decade, just send 'em the prison. It's cheaper and more time efficient. But some crimes honestly make sense to have death as a penalty. Like mass murder.

I personally would prefer the death penalty over live in prison without parole if I were ever incarcerated.
