Except many Tea Party candidates are like Vicki Hartzler from Missouri. She got elected on a promise of no subsidies when her family farm has collected more than $250,000 in farm subsidies, and continues to do so.

"Corporate welfare" in the form of subsidies and tax breaks encourages job growth.

Individual welfare encourages freeloading and sloth.

Next question?

There certainly is a lot of corporate welfare that needs to be cut out. We have seen large corporate welfare under Obama. Neither party is perfect and have their sugar daddies. Mr. Hope and Change might be worse than Bush on corporate welfare. Where are the democrats other than negligible criticism that makes no impact?

P.S. Much of the "welfare" to big oil is a Democrat lie to fool the ignorant. First of all, the government makes more profit off of Exxon Mobil gas than Exxon Mobil does. Second of all, Exxon Mobil pays more in taxes than any company anywhere. The so called "subsidies" that people like Obama talk about to fool voters are the same wear and tear of equipment cost write offs that ALL US companies get including a small ma and pa company. Also, Obama and the democrats didn't end these write offs when they had the chance in his first 2 years? Why not? Because, it apparently isn't a big deal except to fool the sheep.

You cannot expect a business not to take advantage of government tax breaks when they are available.

Suppose farmer A is against subsidies and farmer B across the street is for them. You would expect farmer A to not only put himself at a competitive disadvantage but help pay farmer B just becsue he wants to speak out against subsidies? Farmer A has no choice in the matter if he expects to stay in business.

Do you believe that fake fight between Obama and Wall Street? While he's bad mouthing them in public speeches, they send him Valentines and he blows them kisses.

"...defying expectations, the securities and investment industry has remained an important part of the Obama fundraising effort. Mr. Obama and the Democratic National Committee raised more than $14 million from the securities and investment industry through the end of April, according to the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics. Mr. Obama's campaign alone raised $361,000 from the industry in May."

Wall Street Is Still Giving to President Obama - WSJ

In fact, they were third on the list in 2012 for the interest groups with the biggest monetary contribution to the DNC and Obama.

I hope that none of you "Holier than thou" people ever get a medical problem that wipes you out financially. Since you are so against government assistance.
