It seems like this guy would have been in jail or dead sooner or later anyways. Not that he deserves to die the way he did but with a lifestyle like that it's going to happen sooner or later.
You mean we shouldn't believe the actual pictures/video of Brown committing robbery?
Why?
Okay, as more facts come out it's starting to look like Brown was committing the strong arm robbery.
But let's be honest here - taking $45 worth of cigars is not hardened criminal thug stuff. It's stupid kid stuff. A lot of people I know, and probably a lot of posters on CD, have done similar things, maybe not quite to the extent that Brown did, but things that they should probably have a record for if people found out.
Brown needed restitution, probation, and community service. That would be fair and reasonable. I don't know all of the specific details, but he did not need to be shot dead, like some posters on CD wish most black teenage males would be.
I wonder if Brown's family will apologize (either personally or via the media) to the store owner who was robbed and assaulted by Michael Brown.
Not a chance. To apologize would be admitting that they failed as parents and that their son is a thug loser. That does not fit into the narrative that the white man is racist and their angel son was the victim of racism.
Not a snowball's chance in 40 hells that that will ever happen.

Sorry. I've never committed strong arm robbery and assault. And I doubt there's a poster on this board that grew up in worse neighborhood (crime per capita) than me.

I agree that stealing merchandise is not hardened criminal thug stuff and I know several upper middle class teens who have done so. I assume there are lots more who do so than the ones I know.
But.......I don't know anyone who assaulted a store clerk in order to steal or shoplift. That's in a different category imo.

Exactly right. The store clerk was assaulted by Michael Brown. That makes him a thug criminal, not a petty thief.
