What are we doing right now? Bombing ISIS and helping the Yazidis escape. Beyond that, I'd say arm the Kurds, but we're not required to fight a ground war for the Shiite regime in Baghdad.

Yep, let's let the terrorists form yet another state and sit here and wait for them to attack us again.
What other states in the region have terrorists formed? The Taliban was a group of fundamentalist Pashtuns who sheltered terrorists in Afghanistan, but what are all these terrorist-created states?

The terrorists have indeed won - something the right has always decried - at least when they were in power....
There will always be terrorists somewhere in the world...because as a strategy it works in some ways. There are Kurds support terrorists as well who are fond of bombing Turkish beach resorts, nonetheless I'm in favor of helping the Kurds. For all the involvement of the US in the Middle East over the last 40 years what has it gotten us? Nothing...it's just made us a scapegoat for everything that goes wrong there. Even countries we once helped like the Kuwaitis don't like us that much.

They aren't upset we aren't in Iraq....they just think they are because bad things are happening there and they can criticize Obama over it.

The big irony is that Obama followed the BUSH withdrawal plan but actually tried to delay that...something I've had to point out to libs claiming Obama lead us out of Iraq.

Basically, it's just partisan BS, not by cons but rwnjs.

Good...then he and his merry band of war mongerers and interventionists can buy plane tickets and get to work.

Leave me and my tax money out of it.

Frankly, I've never cared how about HOW we'd get out of Iraq and what president pulled it off.

If Obama screwed up the SOFA agreement...GOOD!

Whatever it takes.

What did Obama say when you wrote to him asking this question?
