I didn't appreciate country that much until I learned about politics. I think country is the heart of patriotism and the more things heat up in the country, the more of it we can lose. Like some things aren't appreciated or acknowledged until they're gone
Patriotism--at least as it exists in the United States, as a form of virulent nationalism--is a curse, a type of pseudo-religion for worthless hillbilly goons who find higher-level thought unfamiliar.

Spoken like a spoiled brat, spoon fed, everybody-gets-a-trophy, your-momma-raised-you-to-think-you're-special, this-country-owes-me pseudo intellectual, who lacks appreciation for the genuine integrity of many who you dismissively categorize as worthless hillbilly goons. Your self-important post only serves to demonstrate your lack of both decency and humanity.
And there's nothing even close to "higher-level thought" in that.
Country music should work on bringing in a new audience. I bet they could do so if they changed the them to disrespecting women, calling them hoes and demanding the murder of cops.

All I know is, country music is like politics the way it's constantly shoved down my throat. I can't even listen to a non-country internet station without a snippet of a country song being advertised to me. Believe me, I've noticed. It's not always an 80s song, or a new song, but there's always a country song.
