Obama is sticking with his principles. Obama gets it. The ISIS problem needs to be solved by the people of the region, not by the US. The "bomb somebody, bomb anybody" sector of the population is not happy.
Well let's think about this for a minute.
Obumbler practically created the ISIS by his lack of anything remotely close to a forgien policy.
Your boy has killed more innocents with his drones that any president in history. He even blocked the civilian kill reports from public view.
Now, do you want to correct your originsl post? Oh, and your welcome.
His cult following, of course, who will never disapprove of anything he does and continue to follow blindly while blaming everyone else. That's what cult members do. Several of them right here on this board!
No, we don't get anything wrong about Obama's statement.
Seeing as how nearly every debate you get into reveals that you go to great lengths to MAKE SURE you invent lots of bad things about those with whom you disagree. It would seem you demand of others what you don't want to do yourself.
He has about as much strategy as the whiners on the right, probably more so. Easy to be an armchair Quarterback, we saw what happened when the last Con was called up to call the plays, that is how we got in the mess to begin with. As for the whining...............Yawn.

You never use "Obama" and the word "principles" in the same sentence unless you refer to his "principles" where drones and air strikes are concerned.

Yes it's easy to sit here comfortably typing our opinions on a forum. But we're not the president of the United States. The leader of the "most powerful nation in the world" etc etc.
It takes time to come up with a comprehensive, long term, effective strategy (even though the development and increasing strength of ISIS has been closely monitored for more than a year and the president publicly referred to them as a JV team only six months ago when he MUST have known that was not true). I get that.
What I don't get is the president announcing to the entire country and the entire world that they (we) haven't got it figured out yet. Tell the world you're meeting with senior strategists. Tell the world you're actively "developing a coalition" or "working in partnership with other nations" or "convening a meeting with the leaders of allied nations" or...........something..........anything.
Just don't tell the world that we don't know what to do.
The only strategy I have heard Obama announce is, that he will transform America.
The other was not to cross a red line.
