This graph is little bit dated and updated ones will have more attributed to medical reasons. Coal falls under the "other" slice.
As a long time listener to Dr Bill WattenburgI know all about radioactive background. Scroll down a little to see his CV.

One source of my comment is the Oak Ridge Lab Coal Combustion Report The issue is the release of atmospheric radioactive particles resulting from the burning of coal. We did something about atmospheric lead from the burning of gasoline. Why shouldnt we be concerned with atmospheric radioactive particles from the burning of coal?

I'm glad you agree that the President's behavior is appropriate. BTW the Supreme Court ruled that Bush was not properly enforcing the Clean Air Act restrictions on greenhouse gases.

What fuels your local electric companies - coal, natural gas, or oil?

Don't they have a minimum wage in place to keep low priced minorities out?

What's the point of replacing Coal with Fracking? How is that a win for the environment? "Good news Mr Smith. We've cured your cancer, by giving you AIDS."

Laura's profile says she is in Tennessee where electricity generation is 53% coal and 34% nuclear. I don't know what point she was trying to make.

That could be his net after the company takes room and board and other expenses.
