More safety than not having one, logic can be your friend if you allow it to.

More safety? There is either safety or none. You're either dead or alive. A gun will not buy you safety in a rough area and if people find out you have a gun, they'll kill you for your gun.

Isn't the this more of a case of New York doing an illegal search for the records, more than infringing on the 2nd amendment?

I have fought and won with my own state when it comes to registration of guns, but I've never heard its illegal for the state to obtain records. I figured that NY would already have records of what was bought in that gun store.

I always have a state background check for any gun that I buy, but handguns and rifles go through the state and Feds.

Why would I want to read more of the Blaze? It is a horrible website that fills you with misinformation.

I can keep myself safe.
When are you moving there, instead of taking my freedoms here?

It takes you to the source the Blaze is quoting.

In this case it is the Washington Post.

Actually a gun has done exactly that for me and more than once, never had to shoot them but the second they knew I was armed they moved on and it has happened more than once. Strange you would claim that since they knew I had a gun and they did the exact opposite of what you claim they would. Maybe you are speaking from your own position in the food chain, and in that case, yes it would probably be best that you did not carry a gun, they probably would take away from you and use it on you, predators know which are the week prey and which are not.

Until it doesn't keep him safe or actually becomes the enemy itself, but then it will be too late.

In which case rather than diverting resources to go after that gun shop maybe those resources should be used to clean up those dangerous areas you speak of.
