Like I, and others, have been saying for a long time. The much feared "assault weapons" are just a made up category of guns by gun control democrats to scare Americans. Remember this the next time the anti gun posters on this forum parrot the same "weapons of war" narrative over and over again.

After 30 Years Of Lies, NY Times Admits "Assault Weapons Are A Myth" - Bearing Arms

It was much the same in the early 1990s when Democrats created and then banned a category of guns they called “assault weapons.” America was then suffering from a spike in gun crime and it seemed like a problem threatening everyone. Gun murders each year had been climbing: 11,000, then 13,000, then 17,000.

Democrats decided to push for a ban of what seemed like the most dangerous guns in America: assault weapons, which were presented by the media as the gun of choice for drug dealers and criminals, and which many in law enforcement wanted to get off the streets.

This politically defined category of guns — a selection of rifles, shotguns and handguns with “military-style” features — only figured in about 2 percent of gun crimes nationwide before the ban.

Haha...good one....I like when they arrest someone for "possession of bomb making materials". Every household in America has an abundance of bomb making materials...although luckily, the majority of nit-wits have never passed freshmen chemistry...

Gee, a report straight from the maw of the gun lobby. I am so impressed. NOT If you want to impress readers, you need to cite sources which are both reputable and have no special agenda aimed at some group like the NRA and its friends.

Me, I want my own drone and nothing less.

Same goes for burglary tools, which come standard with every car purchase (tire iron).

So go buy one, or are you waiting for Obama to do it for you? Facts never impress the anti gun nuts.
