I don't know if I can post this in "current events" without getting flagged by the current even police but it is happening now so I think it is "current" ...........Air strikes have begun. 5 Arab countries including and the US are now bombing Syria. No European countries are involved. They began about 9:10 pm.
So we are bombing, have 2,000 "advisors" on the ground and we are still not calling it war.
25 targets will be hit tonight. I am sure you will see Obama on TV tomorrow reading a speech. Stay tuned.

By tomorrow 10pm Russia will bomb Western Ukraine,
China will bomb Taiwan and Hong Kong,
Pakistan will bomb Kashmir, India will bomb Pakistan in return,
Istael will bomb... well, who wont they bomb?
The Apaches will attack the Sioux,
I hear the Mongols wont their lands back they lost to the Russians back in the 16th.c.
Oh, and Mexico wants Texas, Arizona, California back... bombs away!

...and dozens of people will be murdered in the United States by Americans and we haven't figured out how to stop that. But we can stop a bunch of Middle Eastern terrorists?

In the end the Arabs will have to solve their own problems. I think outside interference will only prolong and exacerbate the problem.
