Quarantine all international travel.
Like the Plague, Ebola is not something this nation needs to experiment with.
Britain has stopped all international flights from the 3-4 countries hardest-hit in Africa until the end of the year.
According to the news, the Ebola patient flew to DFW from Liberia to visit family members. So we can look forward to some of the family members also getting sick in awhile.
What I don't get--why the hell are we allowing flights from one of the hardest-hit places to land in the US? That is just colossally stupid!!
I bet we as taxpayers are going to have to foot the bill for this visitor, too.
The travel industry would be decimated with a 30 day quarantine, no travel overseas. This person traveled from Liberia, showed no symptoms until days after he arrived. Best to look the passport and be sensible, I assume we are about to do just that.

Royal Air Maroc continues to fly from Monrovia, Liberia and Freetown , Siera Leone to London, via Casablanca in Northern Africa. From London, one can go anywhere.

[b]The news did not provide a flight plan. Speculation on my part that this passenger flew to the US or Canada on Royal Air Maroc via Casablanca in Northern , Africa.

There are no direct non stop flights from the hardest hit places to North America.
So long as any commercial carrier is flying between one or more of the hardest hit areas and anywhere else, there is a risk.
