But NOW the CDC and the hospital put together a draft for those workers.
Shouldn't that "draft" have been part of the plan to begin with ?
And here the CDC boasted that America's hospitals were READY.....NOT !
They are in reactive mode yet again.
FWIW the documents will be sent to 100 workers that had direct and indirect contact with Duncan.
And no more "self monitoring"..the CDC is going to each of them daily to take temperatures.

No restaurants, grocery stores, movie theaters or other places where members of the public congregate. No travel by airplane, ship, long-distance bus, train or other modes of commercial transportation.
Such are the restrictions that dozens of health care workers who treated the Ebola victim Thomas Eric Duncan are being asked to follow for the 21-day maximum incubation period of the virus.
The documents were drawn up by the Texas state health agency and Dallas County officials after an infected nurse, Amber Joy Vinson, took two flights between Dallas and Cleveland in the days before she developed symptoms of Ebola and was diagnosed with the disease.
County Judge Clay Jenkins, Dallas County’s chief executive and its director of homeland security and emergency management, said he was confident that all of the workers would agree to sign the documents.
"(E)veryone that had contact went off to the 4 winds." TWO people. And we were being told it was very hard to "catch" Ebola. The bridal shop and the schools are over-reacting, though it might not be a bad idea to sanitize schools in any event.
Two flights, different States, a cruise ship while not everyone involved is pretty darn close to the description.
You're arguing semantics now.
"Over-reacting" might be better understood by you if it were your shop or your school.
Easy to say when it's not especially when you are witness to all of the fooly we have seen by Officials and professionals.

It was an early August day, and the Daily Observer, said to be Liberia’s largest newspaper, had “breaking” news. The Monrovia-based paper reported that an unnamed man had tried to dump a bottle of formaldehyde into a nearby community’s water supply to induce “Ebola-like symptoms” that would “subsequently kill people.” The man, the newspaper wrote, told residents that there were many more “agents” like him in “communities around the country.”

Not sure but it makes sense. There maybe diplomatic considerations to keep the travel route to America open. If some bigwig falls ill in one of these countries they are going to want to fly to the USA or Europe for treatment.
My sister is a nurse in a hospital. She got the brochure and nice poster the CDC sent out.
She said she'd quit before working with an Ebola patient.
The training was a joke and there is no level 4 protective clothing in stock at her hospital.
But their director told them that they "are ready".
My next job will be a greeter at Wal Mart if I am not sufficiently suicidal to work with a patient.

I cringe every time I see the attention Hog - Clay Jenkins on TV.
He is a County Judge in Dallas County - on his own Authority, he set up a 'deal' with TeamObama to bring in 1,000's of the Central American kiddos (some with grey hair) to a 'refugee' residence in Dallas.
It's suspected that those same Central American 'kiddos' are the group speeding the EntoVirus all over the USA. I highly suspect Judge Jenkin's "concern" about Dallas citizens.
As many as 2,000 unaccompanied migrant children who crossed the Texas-Mexico border without their parents in recent months could soon be headed to shelters in Dallas County, according to Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins.
Jenkins made the announcement at the Texas Democratic Convention on Saturday.
Jenkins said discussions to help house the minors began last Friday when he met with several White House officials who were in Dallas for the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
I wonder what State Office (or even Federal Office) Jenkins is preparing to run for ..... I think there was such a backlash to his "plan" that he may have given it up. He is attempting to 'rehabilitate' his reputation. Once a Snake ......Leopard Spots and all that jazz.
Conflicting info about whether or not our troops will have direct contact with Ebola patients in Liberia, though several legislators are specifically asking for it (why, I have no idea):
General: U.S. military could be in Liberia for one year to help contain Ebola outbreak
BY DAN FRIEDMAN NEW YORK DAILY NEWS Tuesday, October 7, 2014, 12:49 PM
"A small number of the nearly 4,000 U.S. military personnel headed to Liberia to combat the Ebola outbreak will have direct contact with virus victims, the general overseeing the mission said Tuesday.
Gen. David M. Rodriguez, commander of U.S. Africa Command, also said the U.S. military effort to fight the outbreak could last “about a year,” far longer than the quick mission many Americans have imagined."
I assume that "special training" is the 4 hour training mentioned in previous news report.

I'm done! I am watching congressmen railing about how terrorists will infect themselves with Ebola then come to the U.S. It certainly is possible, but do we need to go on tv and whine and give them ideas. Seriously, we have a major health crisis and we turn into a bunch of sniveling idiots. I am tired of the theatrics. They couldn't end vacation to take a vote on ISIS but they run back to pontificate on Ebola. I am tired of the ignorant statements, " lets ban all flights", hello there are no direct flights from, the affected areas. The hysteria is over the top.
