Now he has the gall to criticize Governor Christie for enacting the 21 day quarantine for travelers returning from West Africa? Oh yes because that might hurt the efforts in Africa, which is more important than keeping Americans safe. It is because of Obama that Ebola is in the US in the first place. He should have barred all flights and travelers from the 3 nations months ago.
Every WAG is now in the running for the most probable reason following Dr Fauci's primary rationale for NJ/NY to drop their 21 day quarantine.

Dr Fauci has announced that the quarantine will strike fear in the hearts of those who might otherwise volunteer to go Africa and treat ebola patients and possibly be subject to murder by the locals.

In the new bumbling world of Obamacare, in whom we are forced to trust our health, the thought of mingling with the effluent of ebola patients is more preferable and less of a concern than being quarantined in NJ.

It is unimaginable that reason offerred by Dr Fauci is the primary objection to the NY/NJ quarantine.

What a thread for a journalist to follow to make his bones. the thought that life among patients with EVD in Africa is the lesser of two evils than 21 days in NJ.

Can NJ/NY quaratine be the greatest stumbling block to stopping the EVD at its source in the back waters of Africa!!!!!??????

Many people in this country have relatives in other countries (myself included) but that doesn't mean there is any loyalty to those countries. Of course one hopes those distant (in more ways than one) telatives do well, etc but thats as far as it goes.
Read the book Obama claims to have written.

Dreams of My Father.

Guilty as charged. I picked one source that's considered liberal and another that's considered conservative but I guess I can't keep everyone happy.

In any case, the Pew study and the UCLA study can be referenced from many sources. The data stands on its own.

I don't watch any of them either(lost our cable/satellite years ago). And I agree 100% about there's no real journalism anymore. And those 2 studies have found that much of "news" today has a bias and most of that bias is towards the liberal side.

The Dreams of Obama's Father, which he has endorsed as his own, stem from the history in Kenya and the belief that the Western countries owe the Third World a debt. This has been a hallmark of his entire presidency, as is the idea of correcting racial injustice, the main impetus behind Obamacare and his desire to legalize the illegal aliens.

Acknowledging that colonial powers built their prosperity on destroying the Third World doesn't say anything about him, except that he has a functional brain. It doesn't mean that he's conspiring to overthrow the constitution or doesn't care if Americans get ebola or whatever some conservatives think is happening.

This whole premise is insane.

1) If people would stop watching Fox News, they would know that Ebola is not an airborne disease and contracting it is rather difficult. You have to mess with bodily fluids from an infected person while the virus is in large quantities (they are not even contagious during the full incubation period).

2) There are no flights from West Africa to the United States.

3) Obama is American; not African.

4) It is hilarious that RWers will continue to blame Obama for everything. Ebola in America is not Obama's fault, nor are citizens in this country in grave danger. You're more likely to die from influenza.

Seriously, people watch way too much TV.

The public has a right to be overly paranoid about a disease that has a 50% plus kill rate. This is not a virus to take lightly. What if it mutates and becomes highly virulent. And like the other poster said ebola can be transferred through the air in water droplets. A humid environment could transfer the virus through the air. And why do animals in separate cages contract the virus from each other when they never had contact?

You mean the book where he claims that he barely ever interacted with his father and didn't know a lot about him.

Have you read the book? Most of what you just wrote is not in the book.

Although deadly it doesn't transfer easily. None of the 4 people living with Eric Duncan while he contagious ended up being infected.
