Should we pass a law that mandates retail stores to advertise "Christmas" exclusively and ban from using the political correctness word of 'holidays' when referring to Christmas ?

Being originally from Australia myself, I never heard the term 'holidays' before that referred to Christmas despite being less Christian/religious than the US. Holidays was for vacation. What makes me annoyed is 'holiday gift', 'holiday market', 'holiday' this and that nonsense! You can use Thanksgiving and Halloween, but not Christmas. Even Muslims in Australia wouldn't get offended or cared..

Seriously Christmas is a national holiday so why would people be bothered in a country that most people are Christians and celebrate it ????

It's a non-issue no matter which direction it takes. Should people be offended by sales labeled 'Christmas sales?' Of course not. Unless they make sure you're a practicing Christian before you get the sale, it's not actually discriminating to anyone. Same goes the other way around. Calling it 'holiday sale' doesn't exclude Christmas as it is in fact, a holiday.

That's how America works though. We are an easily offended people.

uh... no why not let the businesses decide for themselves how they want to advertise during the season instead of the government mandating how a store should advertise.

Whats the problem with "Holidays"? Here is Andy Williams singing "Happy Holiday" & "The Holiday Season" way back in 1962.

The last thing we need is another ridiculous law with government telling businesses what to do. People just need to get the hell over it.

Really? You created a new username "Christmas is Here" just to make war on Christmas posts?
