Paul Krugman gives an excellent view about how the Republicans won so handily despite being wrong about every damn thing and having an atrocious record. Excellent view here that I agree with, one that puts this in perspective. Acting Republican is suicide for the Republican party going forward, after their candidates pretended to be more moderate than they are, and embraced deceptive marketing.

We really wont know until late January or early February when the talk shifts to abortion and impeachment if this is the same old Republican party or if abortion and impeachment are swatted away and they are really ready to govern rather than be the class clowns in the back row of the class.

Obama and his policies were highly rejected by the US.

Time to move forward.

The Republicans won, the democrats lost.
A complete and total repudiation of Obama, his administration, and the policies of the left.
The snippet of your post above cannot be construed any other way.

The thread title is amazing, BTW. LOL.

Krugman is wrong. Period.

He hasn't written down an intelligent thought in many years.

The GOP didn't win because they acted in any way particularly. They won because the electorate was rejecting Obama.

Will the GOP likely act like asses? Sure but that is a different subject.

Think the only person more idiotic than Krugman is Brent Budowsky of The Hill.

Most of the country agrees with Republicans. Democrats are just masters at lies and vote fraud.

Its amusing to see the reactions of Obama sychophants to these elections. After all the gloating, crowing.and "get over it eighties" comments over the last six years, shoes been swapped. I seem to remember the leftist posters here throwing the "will of the people" card around quite a bit, and gelling those of us who do not support the Reid, Pelosi, Obama agendas to ruck up and just accept the election results.

Now that their Savior and his destructive policies have been put on real notice, all of a sudden the will of the people and majority rule don't apply anymore. So much for "democracy".

Krugman is a bonafide imbecile. His tears of despair are delicious.

1) We have two choices in elections.
2) Many Americans are barely smarter than primates
3) The max. length of time any party wields a majority of both houses is usually 4 years, but sometimes 6.
4) If one system is not bringing results, they have no choice but to choose the other, even if that choice is as awful as the one recently chosen.

The truth is, Democrats failed miserably at messaging. Their leadership in the House and Senate needs replaced.

They didn't stand up behind the policies enacted by President Obama, the job growth and low unemployment, the ACA, which gets better every day, corporate America breaking record profits, and more importantly, putting a spotlight on the failures of the GOP in past 6 years, in which they have offered no meaningful legislation other than tax breaks for the wealthiest people and corporations.

But they do know how to play their base like a fiddle, and poor whites lacking education make up their most powerful voting bloc. The Dumbing Down of America is the reason for this Republican sweep, no doubt about that.
