True or false, it doesn't matter. What matters is who permanently settled it. This is like them saying, "I saw her first!" Ands we say, "Oh? Well I took her home!"

POW!!

Talking Turkish PM: Muslims discovered America, not Columbus

From the link:

"Contacts between Latin America and Islam date back to the 12th century. Muslims discovered America in 1178, not Christopher Columbus," the conservative president said in a televised speech during an Istanbul summit of Muslim leaders from Latin America.

conservatives...

Always on the wrong side of history.

Haha!

But, I basically have little doubt others were here before that mercenary. The Vikings, the Muslims, the Irish priests, the Chinese, the Africans...sure, why not, and who cares. Columbus did not "discover" anything. Native Americans must find that story and the holiday rich. That is typical European style, basking in their own glory. The same mentality that supported "colonizing" cultures (India, China, Africa) that have been around since N. Europeans were drinking from skulls.

Erogdan is very conservative except when it comes to lining his own pockets.

Quote:

ANKARA, Turkey — Sprawling over
nearly 50 acres of forest land that was once the private estate of Turkey’s founding father, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, a
new presidential compound has nearly 1,000 rooms, an underground tunnel system
and the latest in anti-espionage technology. It is larger than the White House,
the Kremlin and Buckingham Palace.
The reported price: nearly $350 million.

Then there is a new high-tech presidential jet (estimated
price, $200 million), not to mention the new presidential office in a restored
Ottoman-era mansion overlooking the Bosporus, all of which have been acquired to
serve the outsized ambitions of one man: President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Mr. Erdogan has been in power for more than a decade, an Islamist politician and prime minister who was often touted as a role model in the Muslim world for having reconciled his faith with democracy

Which don't mean a thing in 2014 except for history. Too; the "Muslims" took over a lot of Europe then got kicked out. So stuff went both ways. Hell; the the American Indians, word is many of the "full blood" ones, are part "white" going by their DNA, apparently that mixing happened back in Asia before they got here way back in the day.

While I believe it possible muslim explorers made it to North America, the author needs to provide real proof. We have physical proof Vikings and Columbus made it here. Pre-Islamic Egyptians may have also made it to North America as evidenced by the tobacco used in mummification. What physical proof is there that Muslims set foot on North America prior to Columbus?

What about Are Be Eyes?

Anyone know the plural of the individual I?

Is it, like, "is" or something?

And the Vikings beat Muslims (if they even came here) them by several hundred years.

There is no physical evidence to suggest Muslims founded the New World.
