I want to see action first. Obama said he was going to go after the banks and bankers also but when he was offered the chance he did the exact opposite.

No he ran as a "blank screen" (his words). You could project whatever you wanted onto him. There were Libertarians in 2008 who were hyped about Barack Obama. David Friedman, for example. And obviously there were progressives who were also very hyped, along with hordes of low-info people.

I doubt that Warren can repeat that act, but who knows?

True enough, but this has been a cause of hers for decades....whereas Obama paid it lip-service by comparison. And we have learned the hard way that Obama's integrity tank is drier than most.

I am convinced that she truly cares about getting average Americans their fair share of the American bounty that they create. But I'm equally convinced that the effect of her susceptibility to progressive mania would more than wipe out any such gains in the big life-quality picture.

It's too bad because some of her stated positions are valid but she is simply not going to be able to logically make them. As others have noted someone who made $300,000 teaching one class is not the one to argue that college is unaffordable.

Say What? 30 Ben Bernanke Quotes That Are So Stupid That You Won’t Know Whether To Laugh Or Cry

Many of the banks simply made up financial statements for those they gave loans to. Yes, if they had made the payments all would have been swell but it was impossible for them to have done that. We arrest the junky in this country but we also arrest the pusher.
umm, Ben Bernanke personally signed a vanishingly small percentage of the mortgage loans during the period, and I think he made his payments.

The conventional wisdom gets every bubble wrong, but I guess you did not notice that? Pray tell, who was the villain that caused the tech stock bubble? Who was the villain who caused the gold bubble that peaked in 1980? Which bad guy produced the corn price bubble of a couple years ago?

Oh--you do have a point. There were bad actors who jumped on the government-designed mortgage market and screwed people. They should be punished. But the lousy policies should NOT go unexamined or be forgotten. Those bad actors were ONE of the moving parts that also include the mass hysteria of 300 million people in a stampede to buy real estate.

Maybe, it seems he is unable to refinance his loan so maybe he didn't.

The tech bubble was caused by those buying an empty business. There were indeed many warning about the bubbles. It's a fallacy that many did not recognize them.

Now see, I do agree here. The problem lays on both ends. This has always been my position. I only argue with those who try and blame it on one end or the other. I'll argue with either position.

We will note, nobody but the homeowners were punished. The banks not only were not punished they were made whole and then some.

I doubt she would run any time soon, she is much more effective right now as a Senator. But this fear for her coming from the right wingers makes me think she is one of the best people to have in the Senate.

"Black socialist man" trump "socialist woman".....we saw that with Hillary in 2008.

Now, if the left could find a muslim, black woman with charisma they'd be in business.
