I will always love him. Nothing to lie about. I was there when he went through chemotherapy. Nobody can predict what future holds for us. Nothing to lie about that either.
Not sure what our relationship has anything to do with this thread though.
Affirmative action should be based on family income and perhaps school district as well. Race is just the lazy way to do try and do this but we can see that it does not work.

If one of your is already married, it's game over. Is that the case?
My college had a program called HEOP - Higher Educational Opportunity Program based on income and also on students who had traumatic incidents in HS such as death of parent (s), parent in jail, living in projects, parents on welfare. dangerous HS etc. and Race played no part in the equation.
Goal was to accept students that normally could not get into school. Program took into account SAT scores, essays, interviews to try to identify students who could perform well in college who were soley denied as they did not have the opportunity in HS to excel.
There are plenty of poor asians but few educational disadvantaged asians. I have two poor asians who worked for me and both parents would pay for tutors, not allow them to work jobs during school year, gave them plenty of time to study. Tutored them and helped them with school work. Even if it ment the parents would have to live in a tiny apt or not own a car or would have to use retirement savings to pay for college.
My buddy who was in the HEOP program and doing great Freshman year had his counselor get school to let him stay over xmas break so he would not have to go home. Turns out his Dad beat him and gangs on the block would attack him. Asians are lucky in that respect as it would be very rare for a Asian HS student to deal with that. They value education.
