It's an awful way to describe a child born of an unmarried mother, and I don't use it. Ever.

a dumb comparison. a child should never be called anything, especially derogatory. they are children.

I have no problem with school tryouts for sports, your assumptions are way off base

lol, I do. the term was used back when it was not a common thing for a child to be born to a single mother. now days that is not the case. it is out dated.
