While Islam has a moon in its symbols, Kim is universally regarded as the "sun" in North Korea and widely embraced by the North Korean population. He is the God of North Korea.

WHy is it that the west believes in limits of free expression when it comes to Islam and yet promote an offensive film against North Korea?

Should there be limits in mocking the North Korean leader?

Is the west just being hypocritical?

I wonder if that movie 'the Interview" about killing Kim Jong was made and the bumbling idiots were going to kill Obama instead how the world would feel about that? How about making the target a Middle East leader?

It seems that almost any enemy of the US or the World is fair game to poke fun at. I don't think it is right. Why cause such a commotion? They could have made up a dictator in a made up country that was similar to NK.

It is OK to make fun of Hitler, Bin Laden and other dead idiots but by making fun of Kim Jong they offended an entire country.

Meh, too bad. Comedians and film makers make fun of world leaders all the time. Look at the stuff Hollywierd has produced mocking GB. Grow some stones and mock those that deserve it-those supported by violent fools, like radical Islam and NK. Not just those that you know aren't going to use violence against you...like the Pope or Mormans.

What makes you think the west believes in limited free speech? How about some examples?

(and I don't mean the random blog of a nutcase)

Have there been new laws enacted recently regarding free speech that I have not heard of?

Yo....Sony pictures is a Japanese company and not a branch of the US government nor in "the west".

The US govt. has no laws that restrict my abilities to mock Islam or North Korea or Germans that wear laderhosen.

Your use of 'the west" is just oddly vague.

So basically....wtf are you even talking about?

YES! When ol' Kim Jong pops an aneurysm from being mocked and keels over dead we should back it off at least 1%, otherwise it's open season.

Who in the "West" is limiting "free expression"? Sony a "private US Corporation" decided to do that so please don't paint a broad brush.
