I know this isn't necessarily Political or Controversial, but I thought it was interesting. According to the Times, this test of problem solving sheds light on political decisions and public policy.

Technically if you went with doubling each number you were correct as well.
Not really because 1, 2, 3 is correct as well without doubling. So you have to find the rule that would determine all right answers.
I got it right. I kept trying until I got noes so I could make sure I had patterns to compare. But both my teenagers got it wrong, and they are really good at math. They both tried a couple, saw they were getting a yeses and then put in that it was doubling.
