Well, our great President is cruising along with enormous popularity. This can be attributed to his incredibly effective policies, his superior position on all matters, his resuscitating this economy out of the Dubya Dark Ages in spite of Republican obstructionism, and tremendous results in all domestic programs and foreign policy. Republicans have simply failed to discredit this man of substance and class.

Great job Mr. President!

President Obama is back at 50% approval. Here

Being at 50% approval despite being the worse president in American history is quite an accomplishment. It speaks to the ignorance of the American voter.

He's not loved, he's hated by the vast majority of Americans. This was a phony poll; look at the internals.

His polls are up no matter which polling place gets the numbers. So obviously NOT the worst president in American history. Saying others speaks to the ignorance of many on the right. Quit living in a echo chamber.

But polls are fickle. I doubt he can keep this up for long, all though if the Republicans keep up their attacks on the middle and lower class its possible he might.

Averaged out between polls, it's at 44.5 percent, which is around what he has been for the majority of his presidency.

Gallup's latest poll for Obama's approval rating reflects a 44% approval rating for the president. Gallup is more than 10% lower than WaPo's 50% approval. Interesting only because that is a large difference in results by most margins of error.

If the public really approved of the guy would they have thrown out most every Dem running for election during the midterms? Removing relevant politicians in that election is counter-intuitive to claiming the public supports the president's policies.

Ed, back up your claim ... cite a source.

If Obama is "hated by the vast majority of Americans" why was he elected in 2008 and re-elected in 2012?

You're entitled to have an opinion but we know what they say about opinions.
