not necessarily. i think the "actor" is gay male, but it might be considered trans-phobic. i have a gay male friend who used to do drag, but lived as a gay male when not on stage. he used to use a slur that starts with tr and rhymes with fanny to belittle other drag performers. this was a few years ago. this is not considered appropriate in more progressive circles these days. there is a difference between a gay man, even those who do drag, and a person who was born a male, but believes himself to be a female.
