I bet the rate of HS completion would notch up to 100%.

What makes you think that?

By the way, did you know disability is based on what you put into SSI during the time you worked? You have to qualify for SSDI by actually working.

Why can't they just go out and get a real job? Don't go whining to me about "no opportunities". We are back in the boom years.

There are a lot of people saddled with college loans that they're paying back, while unable to find a job in the field they studied in. The purchasing power of the middle class is not as strong as it used to be, since wages have remained flat while cost of goods have skyrocketed. Being broke isn't limited to not having a job.

That's cute. I'm only 23 and with a net worth of 51k. I am already above the median net worth of every person in the country. Hell I haven't even graduated college yet. My method?
Here's what I did:
1. Live at home -> living on your own in an apartment is a waste of money
2. Make enough to invest 90%+ of your income like I do but not enough to lose financial aid.
3. Go to a LOCAL STATE COLLEGE. You'll save a fortune.
4. Tell everyone you're poor like a starving African orphan and tell everyone you can't afford things like dinner, movie tickets, or clothing. Don't try this with your significant other though.

PS: I say the last one while wearing golden rings and a golden watch. It feels great to say.

Oh okay. I guess everybody should follow your way of living, because we are all born exactly like you and we have the option of living with mom and dad til we're 23 ... or more.

If you don't.... Well either you'll be lucky in your endeavors/be an extremely lucky entrepreneur, studious with an intelligent career choice but a ton of debt, or working crappy jobs and spending 50% of your income on rent.
While you do those I'll be living a low stress life while I chuckle.
I love to tell college students or people working fast food "I know where you come from, I'm struggling to make the bills myself".
