What would happen if all land in North America above 60N disappeared? (climate, snow)

I was thinking about how would the climate of North America change if all land north of 60N disappeared and was replaced by ocean... There was a thread similar to this which asked what would happen if all of Canada were to disappear but if we just erased the 3 Canadian territories, Alaska and Greenland and replaced them with water and kept the 10 Canadian provinces, how would that affect the climate of the rest of North America?

You'd still get polar outbreaks and snow, try having no land poleward of 40N. Then your winter would be as anemic as Australia.

But winters will be much milder. Portland Maine will be 5c/-3c winter 25c/14c summer.
