Gee, wouldn't it have been nice if these fools would have opened the health care law up to some debate and scrutiny before they voted for it????

Democrats Seek Relief From Obamacare Penalties | RealClearPolitics

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The official sign-up season for President Barack Obama's health care law may be over, but leading congressional Democrats say millions of Americans facing new tax penalties deserve a second chance.

Three senior House members told The Associated Press that they plan to strongly urge the administration to grant a special sign-up opportunity for uninsured taxpayers who will be facing fines under the law for the first time this year.

We have ranking democrats here, don't they know what their elected duties and responsibilities are? It is their duty to amend the freaking law, not beg the president on bended knee to modify the law for Congress.

I find it mind boggling that after ALL the complaints and polls that so FEW DEMS HAVE PROPOSED CHANGES. (that I know of).

I think a couple did before the last election in order to get re-elected.

I don't know if their changes ever got past Pelosi and reid.

The list of exemptions to the tax are quite generous.

Apparently not generous enough with Democrats asking for more exemptions.

The ACA that is being implemented, in many ways, is no where close to the one that obama signed into law.

Yes because Obama himself picks and chooses which aspects of the law should be changed. I never knew we had a king in this country, I was always taught we had a Constitutional Republic.

Now that the (R's) control both houses of Congress, it will be interesting to see if they accept their mandate and actually reign in our king.

I can respect the Democrats for trying to fix the healthcare problem.

However, Obamacare is highly inefficient and anyone who suggests otherwise is either a liar or ignorant of facts.

-Even with Obamacare, we will still have 31,000,000 non-elderly uninsured people by 2023. It is not efficient if that many non-elderly people remain uninsured.

-Obamacare will cause a reduction in work equivalent to a loss of 2,500,000 Full Time Jobs, per the CBO. This is not efficient.

-Obamacare will NOT reduce the deficit as advertised, it will in fact add $1,500,000,000,000.00 of NEW Debt by 2024 - even after the tax penalties are factored in. This law is not efficient and will not reduce costs overall.

-Obamacare keeps having to get possibly illegal executive actions, memos, etc to fix the shoddily put together law - showing it is inefficient.

-Obamacare's website's cost is $2,100,000,000.00 and still climbing - and it has had/still has major security flaws among other problems.

After the "special extended sign-up" they will cry for reduction or elimination of the penalties. Hell, they have so many exemptions now i don't know how the hell they can fund this albatross. But hey, poor people have 30% co-pays and 10K deductibles. Yup, the same people that couldn't afford a $100.00 Dr visit now have to pay 10K just to start seeing a paid benefit.

I'll give Osama credit. He created the worst piece of legislation n the history of the planet.
