Hey folks. I would just like to inform ya'll that on average, YOU pay a greater percentage of your income toward Federal taxes than billionaires pay.

This here chart spells it out:

Available here:

9 Things The Rich Don't Want You To Know About Taxes

So the next time you're implored to think of those oppressed billionaires (who own your government and half of the United States of America)- remember that you pay a greater percent of Federal taxes than they do. When people claim otherwise (and they do every day- being deliberately dishonest), they're leaving out Social Security taxes, Medicare taxes, and a plethora of tax-loopholes that people who can afford an army of accountants and tax lawyers can take advantage of- but YOU can't.

Hey looky here... if you figger in state and local taxes, the picture looks even better for billionaires. Thank gawd those poor oppressed Job Creators(TM) are taxed at the LOWEST rate overall of any income bracket.

And yet which party constantly cries about how oppressed wealthy people are?

Which party wants to cut billionaires taxes even more? While invariable raising YOUR taxes on a local/state level, and cutting YOUR benefits?

Why do you reckon Republican pundits lie constantly about this sort of thing?

You know the answers to these questions.

I think it should be titled "400 forced to pay more tax than 3,800,000 taxpayers."

You don't pay the bills with percentages junior. You pay them with dollars. Ask your masters Soros and Bloomberg why they aren't paying more.

Every coin has two sides and figures can be tweaked to support about any agenda, including 'class warfare'. For example, Does it really seem 'fair' that most people pay thousands or even nothing, while others pay millions ... yet, both get the identical benefit from the taxes paid to the government?:

"The top 10 percent of taxpayers paid over 70% of the total amount collected in federal income taxes in 2010, the latest year figures are available, according to the Tax Foundation, a think tank that advocates for lower taxes. That's up from 55% in 1986. - The remaining 90% bore just under 30% of the tax burden. And 47% of all Americans pay hardly anything at all"
The rich pay majority of U.S. income taxes - Mar. 12, 2013

As implemented by the Grand kOch Party? I didn't just fall off the turnip truck.

Besides, I want billionaires to pay a top marginal rate of 70% or maybe more. You know- like they did back in the 50's when the middle class was thriving, the U.S. was undergoing an economic expansion of historic proportions, and the national debt was shrinking as a % of GDP.

Funny I've never heard of those guys outside of AM radio carnival-barkers and those who listen to them.

You really think they paid a tax rate of 70%?

I would totally support it if it also included an estate and gift tax at the same rate. Otherwise I would not support it because it would have the same problems of a large portion of the wealth of the very top would evade taxes multiple generations. Of course most on the right would never support this because it would mean the extremely wealthy don't get to avoid taxes in perpetuity on the vast majority of their income.
