It's not our job to choose Iran's leaders. The people there supported the revolution and have the right to self-determination. Isn't that the "American way"?
is there freedom and democracy in Iran?.....any human rights? did the Mullahs came to power in 1979 by free elections and the will of the majority of the people of Iran?
it is our job to knock off regimes that are a threat to us, our allies and our troops......we did it in WW2 in Germany, Italy and Japan.
Iran is the #1 sponsor of terrorism in the world against our troops and Israel.....either they reform and cool it down or we get a President sooner or later that will do the sanctions, embargoes and military actions to weaken the Mullahs or take them out.
The Shah was deposed by the people...not the mullahs.

Can you be more specific as to the identity of these conservatives? Do you mean Jimmy Carter who was in the office during the Iranian Revolution? Or, maybe, FDR who installed the Shah in 1941?
