I am also calling BS. I don't know that it is physically possible to smoke ten joints a day every day.

Of course it's BS. You'd have a hard time killing a lab rat with THC.

You would also have to consider that if you believe his story the person would have to be using somewhere in the neighborhood 5-10 grams every single day.

Fear of the unknown - stoked by the lingering effects of Reefer Madness. Sad.

Marijuana has been used for millennia. Any harmful effects - especially death - would have been noticed a long time ago.

Just because a thing does not immediately kill does not make it not harmful. Smoking cigarettes is unlikely to immediately kill an 18 year old smoker. But I think we can agree that it is nonetheless a very bad idea.

I can say that I have never smoked MJ. I am allergic to THC. but I do not care one bit if someone else smokes it, as long as they do not smoke it near me.

Point? Marijuana is not tobacco, and the fact that something is non-toxic does not mean it's harmless. I was discussing toxicity, not long-term harm, though you'd be hard pressed to find diseases from smoking marijuana. There's a big difference between smoking 20-40 cigarettes a day for forty years and smoking an occasional joint. I would think smoking marijuana is less harmful to the lungs than living in Beijing.

How did you find out about the allergy?

Thats really not true at all, I know a lot of people who don't care for it and they are sure not envious of those that do, most people don't care one way or another. some people just don't need to get high to enjoy themselves.

There may be a bit of truth to that. I know that my mom would get sick to her stomach just from the smell of it. My parents had friends who smoked weed, (not around any of the kids of course) and when someone fired up a joint, my mom would leave the room. Same with incense. I remember at my grandpa's funeral, at the mass, when they started burning incense she ran out of the church and was dry heaving. Me on the other hand, I like the smell of both incense and cannabis.
