I can't wait for the other shoe to drop. I guarantee that within a few years time, some of the very same people that have been championing this will be complaining about all the new taxes they have to pay, and they'll be asking why their service is slower and more expensive, and why does their voip cut out when they're streaming netflix, etc. No doubt they'll be blaming their ISPs. Idiots.
I don't think you understand the ruling or what net neutrality even is.

No, it's you that doesn't understand it. You've bought the political hype, but you don't understand the technology or what it means for something to be regulated as a utility.

Because net neutrality does the opposite of what you are suggesting? That makes no sense why any right winger would support letting companies control their internet speed and access to the internet.
I'm surprised. Our corporate masters have been distorting this issue to make it sound like net neutrality is something new and a bad deal rather than the way things are now and the way they ought to continue. Usually the corps get their way. So this is a rare victory for the people. Don't think that it is over though. The moneyed lobbyists will be working hard on their tools in Congress to reverse this decision.

THEIR internet speed? You rent it and it becomes yours? Then you start making demands as if your civil rights were at stake. That's a laugh, the mindset of a liberal.
And to spell it out for you, the ISP controlling speed intelligently is what will allow you to get the highest speed you need when you need it. Arbitrarily giving all traffic the same bandwidth does not. A 240p video stream should not have the same bandwidth as a 1080p stream, that is a waste of bandwidth.
Well thank goodness for that. It's nice to hear some good news every now and then.
