No one is going to buy your sob story when it was YOUR decision to fail to purchase insurance.
I was priced out of the market. When my premium hit $800 a month I could no longer afford it. That's what people without employer-based insurance faced before the ACA. And that's what we face if the ACA is killed.

Get another job. Why are you so special that you don't have to pay your bills? Where the heck is your personal responsibility?

The 13 million to 25 million numbers have a MINUS SIGN before them - indicating that's the amount the number of uninsured DROPS BY.

Are you REALLY so uneducated that you don't know what a MINUS ( - ) sign means?

Ken
No but you are, evidently you are...

Did you notice the little "c" by the word UN-insured, thats for notes and here is what note C says:

Quote:

c. The number of uninsured people includes unauthorized immigrants as well as
people who are eligible for, but not enrolled in, Medicaid.

I do pay my bills. It's estimated that by 2020, more 40% of America's workforce will be independent contractors. It's the way that employment is trending in this country. Do you believe that 40% of Americans don't deserve affordable healthcare?

Did you ever stop to consider that not everyone can simply "get a better job" to solve their healthcare problems?

Unfortunately, they don't.

If right-wingers actually understood facts, they'd never vote for the GOP again.

Yeah, right. Nobody is paying six figures out of pocket for emergency surgery. You'll strain a calf running to the ER at the first sign of trouble (and we'll have to pay for that too).

And if left-wingers brains exploded it wouldn't raise their eyebrows.

If every right-winger moved to Kentucky, America would get smarter, and Kentucky would get dumber.

Give it up. The uninsured rate is approaching historic lows:

Quote:
The uninsured rate for the first two months of the year is down 0.6 percentage points from the fourth quarter of 2014. Gallup and Healthways will publish the results for the entire first quarter in early April, and if the downward momentum continues, the drop in the uninsured rate may be slightly larger than this preliminary figure.

If you went without health insurance for 10 years, you didn't pay your bills. You leeched off those who are responsible and do pay for insurance and medical care. For 10 years.

I said get another job. A 2nd part-time job that enables one to actually pay their bills. It's extremely irresponsible to not support oneself (and one's dependents, as applicable). That places the burden on others, which is unconscionable.
